So what are you complaining about? You got your items, you were happy with them? WTF?

I can't believe they admitted their planned fufillment service is aimed at helping Chginese sellers with their shipping times.

What a completely Anti-American move. In this economy, eBay should be tried for treason.
18  Consumer Complaints / Scams, Scammers and Fraudsters / Re: Bill Platt Scam Stillwater Oklahoma Warrior Forum thephantomwriters on: June 11, 2011, 07:18:06 pm
It seems Mr. Platt fits the bill for typical Warrior Forum member. He either lives with his parents or is a renter. He obviously doesn't own a home or any property in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Simple property search of the Payne County assessors office reveals no matches...

http://www.paynecounty.org/assessor/display.php

A PeopleFinders.com search does reveal a "Bill Platt" who resides with a Joseph E Platt (Age 84)  so looks like our boy lives with his elderly father.

19  Consumer Complaints / Scams, Scammers and Fraudsters / Re: Warrior Forum WSO Scams are the FTC's Worst Nightmare on: June 11, 2011, 12:51:01 pm
I stopped visiting WF back in 2007 when I realized the place was nothing but a den of iniquity. I'm actually surprised it's flourished as well as it has these years.

Go figure that the US government allows such a disreputable scam forum to thrive and scam innocent consumers day after day with false claims, plagarised content, fake testimonials, etc.

The easiest thing for the FTC to do would be to throw down the hammer on Allen Says and his horde of internet marketing junkies but in reality, the FTC only fines such entities.

Here's hoping the Warrior Forum gets fined heavily for allowing this scamming to go on.

I think this post sums this guy all up in a nutshell

How to Start an Internet Marketing Business With No Money

It's posted on one of his many sites livemarketingchat.com

How to make money in Internet Marketing if you have no money? hmmm.. guess Bill Platt's never heard "It takes money to make money" and still believes he can make a living without spending a dime. Not that he has a dime to spend but just saying...

he's even got another free Twitter account for this one with his obnoxious picture here : http://www.twitter.com/LMCbusinesschat

I never quite realize why butt-ugly Internet Marketers  post their pictures. Do they think it makes them "human" ?? Internet Marketers have all the humanity of a Cylon in Battlestar Galactica.

I guess Bill Platt throws all the feces he can find against the "interwebs" wall hoping something might stick and he can pay the $125 per month rent on his doublewide in Oklahoma.

Can you say "Epic Mega Fail" Huh

What do you expect when you're dealing with sleazy internet marketers at the Warrior Forum?

If the FTC actually looked at any of the WSO (Warrior Special Offers) there for sale, they'd have a field day cracking down on false advertising.

As for this Bill Platt guy, here's some info on him :

http://bill-platt.com/index.php - His main website. He even offers up his phone number (405) 780-7327. Maybe you should give him a call?

http://www.warriorforum.com/members/tpw-friends-page7.html - His Warrior Forum profile. Notice, he's one of the "con-artist crew" at Warrior Forum pitching garbage WSO's.

http://twitter.com/#!/contentmanager - his Twitter account

His picture :

Looks like a sleazy little weasel to me. Actually he sort of looks like skinnier version of Mr. Whipple, the "Don't Squeeze the Charmin Guy" except Mr. Whipple was making money and could afford to eat, not on the Warrior Forum weight loss diest of no income.

BeenVerified.com is Nothing but a Scam

The television commercials tell you that if you go to the website, you will get a month of free searches but when you go there, they lead you on to giving up your email, then ask for your credit card. This is nothing but a pathetic rebill scam where they say you can cancel any time during the trial period and they will not charge your card but make it impossible to cancel.

The worst part is that they lead you on to believing the search is free until they nab your email address and then they start spamming you.

I tried on search for my own records just to see what information they have on me and they asked for ,y email address so they could send me the seatial. After giving up my email, they the site directoed me to a page requesting my credit card information. I closed the browser window and within a few hours I received a spam message from them titled to look as if they were sending me the information I requested but it was just spam to get me to pay.

These type of misleading offers should be shut down by the government as they ensnare millions of consumers every year,

Stay away from BeenVerified.com at all costs, it's nothing but a scam.

Portfolio REcovery Associates is cold calling anyone they believe they can muscle, manipulate and intimidate into paying a time-barred debt in order to "stop the clock", reage the debt and put it back on their credit report. NO one (in their right mind), is going to pay ONE red cent on debts which belong to someone else, have been discharged in bankruptcy, belong to someone else or have already been PAID.

These people know the guidelines to a limited degree, and they get paid well to be as combative and intimidating as possible.  They use phone 'spoofing' to use time differences against you and will try to confuse and control the call.  One of the best tricks they use is refusal to disclose who they are and their physical address.  If you request the firm ceases the calling (or) as that they provide the alleged debt in writing, they do not have to comply unless YOU send them a letter stating your wishes.  The above is the information you need for many of the calls you get.  Send the letters Certified Mail, Return Receipt and make sure you TYPE the requests professionally, with proper grammar and spelling.  The more they can make you look ignorant (or) incompetent the better chance they have to get a quick 'default judgment' and begin garnishing your wages.  Know your rights, and keep an eye on dockets for civil cases in your state against you.  If you show up prepared, you will be surprised how often you come out on top!

25  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / eBay Profits From the Online Sale of Drug Paraphernalia on: March 23, 2011, 08:20:17 am
Who knew that eBay facilitates the Online Sale of Drug Paraphernalia?

Have a look at these items...

Marijuana Vaporizers For Sale on EBAY

Then have a look here ...

http://marijuanavaporizer.com/

Very interesting that eBay does not allow the sale of drug parephenalia yet they seem to be turning a blind eye to this one.

Maybe it's because they're making $15+ in Final Value Fees off each one??
26  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / Re: eBay Stock Down $5 a Share in One Month on: March 22, 2011, 12:36:13 pm
Deutsche Bank analyst Jeetil Patel just downgraded eBay to SELL and set the target price for the stock at $22 per share !!

That's $13 per share lower than the 52 week high of $35 per share eBay hit earlier this year.

http://blogs.barrons.com/techtraderdaily/2011/03/22/google-unfair-discount-versus-ebay-says-deutsche/?mod=yahoobarrons

Quote
Deutsche Bank analyst Jeetil Patel this morning reiterated a Buy rating on shares of Google (GOOG) and a Sell rating on shares of eBay (EBAY), arguing that eBay’s valuation multiple has expanded faster than earnings growth, while the opposite is true for Google.

...

Patel has a $725 price target on Google, based on a 19 times multiple of next year’s projected EPS, up from the current 15 times multiple. His $192 price target on Amazon shares is a multiple of 28 times his 2012 projected Ebit.

eBay should fetch just $22, he thinks, or 10 times projected 2012 EPS, after backing out cash on the books, given that the company’s core business “continues to show deteriorating market share trends.” Yahoo! deserves a 14.5 times multiple of 2012 EPS, he thinks, for a price target of $14.

I pity all the investors who bought into eBay at $35 a share thinking it was going to go as high as $50 per share. They're going to be out a lot of money if they continue to hold their positions in eBay.

Let's face it, anybody selling on eBay knows that they are doing everything wrong. Despite all the spin eBay has been putting out over the last year, the facts are that eBay is a sinking ship.

Shareholders really need to voice their opinions and get CEO John Donahoe removed instead of giving him 22%  raise in 2010
27  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / Re: EBay CEO John Donahoe Gets 22 Percent Raise in 2010 on: March 22, 2011, 09:41:48 am
Meg Whitman and John Donahoe have destroyed eBay but both of them walk away multi-millionaires.

Does anyone realize where eBay could be now if these two corporate raiders hadn't continued to tinker with a successful formula? Sure eBay had it's problems but those were easy to deal with without raising selling fees across the board.

Every time eBay raises fees, they claim it's for the betterment of the site, yet every time the number of honest sellers with unique merchandise withers until only Chinese junk sellers are left crowding the search with multiple listings for their sub dollar store/flea market wares.
28  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / EBay CEO John Donahoe Gets 22 Percent Raise in 2010 on: March 22, 2011, 08:15:27 am
While many merchants on eBay were impacted by increased fees in 2010, feeling less profit at the end of the day, the real winner was eBay CEO John Donahoe with a compensation package that rose by 22 percent to $12.4 million from the previous year.

Rachel Metz, AP Technology Writer, writes...

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/EBay-CEOs-compensation-rose-apf-2811084172.html?x=0&.v=3

Quote
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The 2010 pay package online marketplace operator eBay Inc.'s CEO rose 22 percent to $12.4 million from the previous year, according to an Associated Press analysis of a Monday regulatory filing.

According to a proxy statement eBay filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Donahoe received a salary of $920,673 in 2010, down 1 percent from the year before. He received a bonus of $736,538, up 68 percent year over year, and a performance incentive of $1.2 million, down 30 percent from $1.7 million in 2009.
...

In 2010, eBay continued to work on improving eBay.com -- a process it is still working on -- by doing things like cutting upfront listing fees it charges sellers, improving its search engine, revamping its home page and ramping up its focus on fashion with the launch of a clothing and accessory site, fashion.eBay.com. The year ended with a healthy holiday quarter, as enthusiastic shoppers helped spur growth in the marketplace and PayPal businesses.

...

EBay's stock rose 18 percent last year, ending December at $27.83 a share. On Monday, it rose 11 cents to close at $30.58

So eBay continued to work on improving the marketplace? Sorry but they don't seem to have done a very good job. The search is worse than ever, the home page is rigged towards eBay's favored sellers and as for cutting upfont listing costs, the article writer conveniently forgot to mention that eBay increased Final Value Fees, which offsets the free insertion fees for casual sellers.

As for eBay's stock rising 11 cents on Monday, it's down nearly $5 per share since last month.

Nice slanted article. I wonder if Rachel Metz is on the eBay payroll ?

29  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / Re: eBay Stock Down $5 a Share in One Month on: March 16, 2011, 03:33:07 pm
eBay was down another 71 cents per share  today. Looks like their seller update yesterday backfired.

There were also other harmful new items pertaining to eBay released today regarding Visa's charge towards invading Paypal's electronic payment space, more press about the insider trading scandal involving eBay and a damning article from The Motley Fool about eBay's fee update.

30  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / eBay Sellers Plan Boycott on April 1 2011 on: March 16, 2011, 03:25:39 pm
Angry eBay sellers, who are irate at eBay's plan to implement Final Value Fees on shipping charges are organizing a boycott of eBay for one day on April 1 2011.

The information was posted in the eBay  2011 Spring Seller Update: Special Discussion Board

voice your concerns on facebook at link

April Fools Day Off from Corporate Greed

So, how many sellers will be joining this boycott? 1, 100, 1000 or more ? Although there have been several boycotts planned in the past over eBay policy changes and/or fee increases, so far, eBay doesn't seem to get the message that people are tired of corporate greed.

If you are a seller on eBay, will you be boycotting eBay April 1 2011?
