1  Consumer Complaints / Scams, Scammers and Fraudsters / Re: BeenVerified.com is Nothing but a Scam on: August 09, 2011, 11:31:31 am
You're right on. BeenVerified is a misleading ripoff company. Like you said, the commercials say that you can do a free search and when you go there, they get all your information but they never let you get a free trial search.

I went there in April 2011, was stupid enough to put my credit card in because I was hiring a nanny for my 2 year old and wanted to do some background checks. I was ok with paying for a month subscription to do the searches but after the first few searches, I realized the information they were giving me was garbage. I tried to cancel immediately on my free trial but they wouldn't let me cancel.

BeenVerfied billed me for the last 4 months and I have not been able to get them to cancel my account. I called my credit card company to do a chargeback and the customer service rep said they've had numerous problems with BeenVerified  and she told me to just report my credit card lost/stolen to stop them from billing me.

In the end I had to report my credit card as lost  to stop BeenVerified from billing me.
2  Consumer Complaints / Scams, Scammers and Fraudsters / Re: Warrior Forum WSO Scams are the FTC's Worst Nightmare on: July 26, 2011, 09:27:12 pm

If you have any doubt about the legitimacy of an offer of this nature, you are delusional.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Look at that thread. There is not a single person complaining that their $7 was wasted yet it's guaranteed that nobody who purchased that e-book made $100 within 5 minutes of reading it.

It's all false claims, false testimonials and lies.

I simply don't understand how the FTC allows that forum to exist when there are laws in the US to protect consumers from false advertising.

In my experience, the Warrior Forum is heavily censored. Complain about a WSO that a high ranking member is selling and they will ban you without question. That's like buying damaged goods from Walmart, making a complaint to return them and getting banned for life from Walmart.

What kind of business is that??

Warrior Forum only allows positive comments for their favorite member products so it is not a genuine marketplace, it's a scam.
4  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / Re: eBay to Charge Sellers Final Value Fees on Shipping on: March 15, 2011, 02:12:13 pm
I sell a lot international and my main product line weighs over 2lbs which requires Priority Mail and costs between $6-$13 depending on the zone I'm shipping to. My product costs over $20 to ship internationally. I pay 12% FVF and 4% Paypal on this item which sells for $40 which means I already pay $6.50 in fees for each item sold. This doesn't include my listing fees and my store subscription which add another half dollar per item bringing me close to $7 per item.

Now eBay wants to charge me 12% on my shipping costs? This adds nearly $2.50 to each international order. I simply can't absorb those fees so I will be forced to increase my shipping prices or stop shipping internationally.

Goodbye international buyers. eBay doesn't want you doing business with US sellers anymore.
5  Consumer Complaints / eBay and Paypal Complaints / Re: eBay Abuses Sellers for Profit on: March 15, 2011, 02:04:22 pm
eBay sticks it to Sellers on a regular basis. We're not allowed to leave Neutral or Negative for Buyers who truly deserve it, Fees continue to increase & now S&H will be included in FVF. Time to seek greener pastures. BTW, Buyers, be sure to thank eBay for Sellers increasing prices in order to see a small profit of some sort.
